BEKENDMAKING. [centered]

Den Ondergetekende Commissaris der Venduen, adverteerd by deesen elk en een iegelyk, dat op Maandag die zyn zal den 14 April deser loopende Maand, ten huyse van de Heeren Muller & Cosack publick zal werden opgeveild & aan de meestbiedende verkogt.
Een Mualttin naaysterin, wascherin & strykster & drie nieuwe Neger Slaaven, synde een Neger Man een Vrouw & een Meisje, alle van de Kinder ziekten Geinoculeerd.
Gemelde Slaaven werden verkogt tot voldoening van Crediteuren & om geen ander reeden.
En dat op Dingsbag die zyn zal den 15 daar op volgende ten huyse van den Ondergetekende publiek zal worden opgeveild en aan de meestbiedende verkogt, een groot quantiteit huys Meubelen, bestaande in Bedden en Bedsteeden, Stoolen, Mahonie Tafels, Sophas, als meede eenige Boeken &c. een mooye party musicaale Boeken & ditto Instrumenten, Mathema. Ditto &c. als meede een groote nieuwe Scheeps Boot met zyn toebehoore?, legende in de trens voor het Fort.
Die'er gading in heest kome ten voornoemde dagen & plaats?r aanhooren de conditien & doe zyn profyt.

NOTIFICATION. [centered]

The underwritten Commissary of the Vendues makes hereby known to all and every one, that on Monday the 14th instant there will be sold at the house of Messrs. Muller & Cosack, to the highest bidder, a Mulatte Woman, being a washer, ironer and semstress, and three new Negros, a Man, a Woman and a Girl, who have all been Innoculated with the small Pox, said Slaves are sold only to pay off some debts and for no other reason.
And that on Tuesday the 15th instant there will be exposed for sale by the underwritten and at his house, and sold to the highest bidder a large quantity of house furniture consisting of Beds, Bedsteeds, Chairs, Mahogany Tables, Sophas, a parcel of Books & an fine parcel of musical Books and Instruments, Mathem: also a large new Ships Boat with its appurtenances, laying at present in the trench near the Fort.
The conditions of sale wil be read at the aforementioned places and on the perfixed [sic] days.

Alle de geenen dewelke iets te prentendeeren hebben van Rogers Henley & Co. werden verzogt daar van opgaave te doen aan William Rogers en John Henley, of op de Plantagie Relief op Leguaan Eyland, op welke plaats onmiddelyk betaaling kunnen erlangen in Catoen tegens de gewoonlyke prys.

PROPOSALS. [centered]

To establish a regular Packet Boat between Demerary & Barbados for the purpose of conveying Letters an [sic] Passengers and in order to procure to the Inhabitants of Demerary the means of Corresponding regularly with Europe, by way of Barbados and receiving without any delay, the Letters brought from Europe by the English Packetts: the fast sailing Sloop Mary, commanded by Captain Michael Clark, the property of Crafts & Jemett of Barbados, is proposed to be employed for that purpose.
The underwritten shall take said Sloop on hire from her owners for a year certain & in case any accident should happen to her within said year, her owners are bound to the underwritten to furnish him with another good Vessel in her room.
The object of the intended Packett being only to furnish the Inhabitants of this Colony with an opportunity of corresponding regularly with Europe by English Packetts, she shall not stay here any longer time than four days, and always wait in Barbados for the arrival of the English Packets & proceed from there with the Letters for this Colony as soon as the same shall be delivered, so that said Sloop will Comonly [sic] make two Voyages in a Month; and whereas she will not be allowed to carry on any trade, nor take any goods on freight, it is requisite that the hire paid for her by the underwritten should be secured to him by a subscription.
Sixty Subscribers at the rate of five Joes a year will be requisite to pay the stipulated hire; the Subscribers shall be free from any charge of postage during said year, their Letters for Europe or else where will be received here at the Correspondence Office, recorded as usual, forwarded by the Packet to Barbados, and dispatched by the first opportunity that may offer; and the Letters from Europe or any other part of the world brought there for the subscribers, will be paid for at the Barbados Post Office.
The Postage due there will be charged to the Subscribers, and they will receive their Letters here free of any additional charge, but such as has been paid at the general Post Office in Barbados.
The Subscribers will have the liberty of sending & receiving free of any charge or freight, small cases, packages or bundles, provided they do not contain any articles of merchandises and merely such things as may be for their own use, and wearing apparel.
The Letters brought by said Packet will be delivered and distributed here as easily as possible to the subscribers, and if requested by extraordinary Messengers, due notice will be given in order that they may get their answers ready in time.
All other Letters imported by the Packet for others than for the subscribers will be subject to a postage at such rate as the Court of Police may think proper to appoint.
Whereas it will be necessary that a proper person shall be appointed in Barbados for the purpose of receiving & forwarding Letters to & from this Colony, & Mr. John Seed being already under an engagement with several Gentlemen in this Colony for the same purpose, it is agreed that he shall be the person employed for the business before mentioned & as a compensation for the trouble he will have there, in all sums Subscribed above the sum of 300 Joes, shall be considered as for his account & benefit.
P S The Capt. of said Packett Boat must call at his departure from Barbados, at the Government House there, in order to inquire for the Letters that may be there for His Excellency the Governor General of this Colony, and bring the same over very carefuly, he shall at his departure from here also always call at the Government house and receive the orders of his Excellency.

Den Ondergetekende Commissaris der Venduen, adverteerd by deesen, allen & een iegelyk, dat op Maandag die zyn zal den 14 deeser loopende Maand ten huyse van de Heeren Muller & Cosack, publiek zal worden opgeveild & aan de meestbiedende verkogt.
Van weegen de Heeren Muller & Cosack eenige Provisies bestaande uit Boter & Kaas, en het geen verder te voorschyn zal werden begragt.
Van weegens de Heeren Tuchsen & Visser qq. Frowyn & Tuchsen, de Concessie No. 54, met deszelf ap & dependentie, thans bewoond wordende door de Heer P. Ruyl.
Als meede op Woensdag den 16 April aanstaande, ten huyse van de Heeren George Crafts & H. Mc. Calmont qq. den Boedel wylen Capt. John Sisk.
Eenige Behuisingen staande op de voorgrond van de Plantagie Vlissingen, toebehoorende aan gemelde Boedel, welke stuk land is gehuurd voor neegentien jaaren, nader by de koop Conditien te detaillieren.
Die'er gading in heest, koome ten voornoemde daagen & plaatien aanhoore de Conditien & doe zyn profyt.

The underwritten Commissary of the auctions make hereby known to the Public that on Monday the 14th instant at the house of Mssrs [sic] Muller & Cosack will be publickly put up for sail [sic] to the highest bidder, by said Messrs Muller & Cosack, sundry Provisions as Butter, Cheese & further all that will be presented.
And by Messrs Tuchsen & Visser qq. Frowyn & Tuchsen, the Concession No. 54 with all appurtenances, at present occupied by Mr. P. Ruyl.
Also on Wednesday the 16 April next at the house of Messrs George Crafts & H. Mc. Calmont qq. the estate of Captain John Sisk deceased, a few buildings standing on the front land of the Plantation Vlissingen, which are belonging to said estate, which piece of ground is rented for nineteen years, the further particulars will be read with the conditions of sale on the aforesaid places and on the perfixed [sic] days.

By private Sale on favorable Conditions a Plantation situated on the lower point of Wackenaame Island near the sea, containing 200 Acres Land & 100 roads [sic] front with 40000 Cotton trees & 7000 Coffy trees 4 years old, with 40 Slaves, where are 22 off [sic] Men, Provisions & buildings &c. any one wishfull to purchase the same, please to apply to E. A ROBBERY. [centered]

On Monday night last, a Bale of Cotton which was stored under the front gallery of the house of the Subscribers, was opened & pilfered of about fifty pounds, & the same night was stolen from the house of Messrs Palfrey & Loring a Pocket [sic] of Cotton marked 170 was lodged there the property of the Subscriber, it is hoped if the above Cotton should be offered for sale, that information might be convicted & brought to trial to receive the punishment they have sto [sic] justly merited.

The distribution Offices for Essequebo, where application are to be made for passage, freight or conveying Letters, are established as follows.
For Fort Zelandia at Mr. Reuter's, Tavern Keeper at De Roode Leeuw.
For Leguaan Island at Mr. Birmingham's, on Retrieve Plantation, the property of G. Crafts Esqr. and formerly of E. Butler Esqr. a similar Office shall be established on Wakenaam Island, as soon as any Gentlemen there will take charge of the same.

Vermits het laaste Advertentie van den Ondergetekende in dato den 22 Maart laastleeden, geen effect gesorteert heest, denkelyk om reden van het vertrek der Vloot, zoo is 't dat den Ondergeteekende nogmaal de vryheid neemt zyne Crediteuren op het vriendlykste te verzoeken om op Donderdag aanstaande zynde den 10 dezer loopende Maand, klokke tien uuren s'morgens ten huyse van de Heer J. C. Delacoste in Stabroek te willen compareeren, hunne pretentien op te geeven, ten einde een accuraate staat zyner schulden op te maaken en voorts tot zulke schikkingen over te gaan, als partyen tot wederzydsche genoegen zullen met elkanderen convenieeren.

Delacoste in Stabroek on Thursday the 10 instant at 10 oclock in the forenoon & to render in their accounts in order to be able to make a fair statement of his debts & to proceed to a settlement equally satisfactory and agreeable to both parties.
