Saturday, the 28th of April.

By His Honor Lieutenant Colonel Robert Nicholson, Lieutenant-Governor in and over the Colonies of Essequebo and Demerary, and their Dependencies, President in all Courts and Colleges, &c. &c. &c.
These are to Notify all whom it may concern, that by Warrents under His Majesty's Sign Manual, the Honble: William Frederick Elliott Eden and John Augustus Sullivan Esqr. have respectively been appointed, viz: the former to be Vendue Master of Essequebo and Demerary, and the later to be Secretary and Register and Receiver of Demerary, and that Wm. Brereton and Rt Kingston Esqrs have been deputed and nominated to do the duties of the Office of Vendue Master and Philip Frederick Tinne Esqr. to execute those of the Office of Secretary and Register and Receiver aforesaid; and I do further Notify, that in addition to the above arrangements for the better dispatch of Business in the Secretary's Office, I have authorised P. C. Ouckama, Esqr. protempore
to act as Assistant Secretary to the Honble: Court of Justice of this Colony.
Given at the King's House in Stabroek, Demerary, this 28th day of April 1804.

Vendue-Office, 27th April 1804.
The Public in general will please to take Notice that for their accommodation a vendue will be held at this Office every Friday and Saturday in future, to dispose of such Articles as may be sent to the Office in all the Week.
Such as wish to send Goods to be Sold on the above mentioned Days, are particularly requested to send them on or before Thursday with a List.

Anderson van voorneemens zyn binnen den tyd van 14 dagen van hier te vertrekken, zoo wordt zulks mits dezen bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geenan, welke iets van hun te pretendeeren hebben, of aan hun verschuldigd zyn, hunne pretensien koomen ontvangen, of hunne Schulden betaalen ter hunner Domicilium.

Alzoo de Heer Timothy Stanley van voorneemens is binnen den tyd van 14 dagen van hier te vertrekken, zoo wordt zulks mits dezen bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geenen, welke iets van hun te pretendeeren hebbon [sic], of aan hem verschuldigd zyn, hunne pretensien koomen ontvangen, of hunne Schulden betalen ter zyner Domicilium.

PUBLICK AUCTIONS. [heading]

The Commissaries of the Vendue advertise, that on Monday the 30th Inst. will be Exposed for Sale to the highest Bidders, at the Store of Mr. John Hepburn on the American Stelling, the following Goods, viz. Fine broad Cloth, pennittone &c. for Negro Cloathing, Saddles, bridles, harness &c. best castile soap, prime rounds of beef in tubs, hams, best French Claret in cases of 4 doz. each, best Dutch green pease in demijohns, quills, sealing wax, wafers &c. Iron pots, nails, Ladies hats and shoes, hinges, with various other Articles too numerous to mention.

On Tuesday the 1st May, the Commissaries of the Vendue will Expose by Public Sale at their Office, - A large Quantity of Superfine Flour, just Imported from Baltimore, by the Brig Ann; Also One hundred & fifty barrels Flour, Imported in the Schooner Demerary.

N. B: Any Purchaser that will take Twenty barrels or more, will be accommodated with two Months Credit.

The Commissaries of the Vendue advertise that on Thursday the 3d of May will be Exposed for Sale to the highest Bidders, by Order of Messrs: Jones & Nurse, at their Store on the North Dam of Stabroek; - Beef, pork, butter, candles, Furniture, and a parcel of Seasoned and New Negroes.

The Commissaries of the Vendue advertise that on Saturday next the 5th of May, will be Exposed for Sale to the highest Bidders, at the Dutch Hospital; - Several New Negroes, some Provisions, viz: barrels of Beef, barrels of Pork, casks of Pease, barrels of salt &ct. a large cask of Soldiers Shoes, a number of Iron bound Puncheons &c. &c.

The Commissaries of the Vendue advertise that on Tuesday the 8th of May will be Exposed for Sale to the highest Bidders, by Order of Mr. O. J. Laurin, at his Store on the Lot of Mr. H. Beis, opposite that of Charles Vincent Esqr: - A large and general assortment of Dry Goods, Provisions, Liquor, Ironmongery, Glass and Earthen Ware, &c. &c. just imported in the Ship [a blank here], Capt. Van Dyck, from London.

The Commissaries of the Vendue advertise that on Tuesday the 15th of May, will be Exposed for sale to the highest Bidders, at the House of M. J. Verroen Esqr. in Stabroek; - Furniture consisting of Mahogany tables, chairs, bureaus, an elegant bedstead, a clock, silver spoons and forks, watches, damask table cloths, Jewellry &c. Also a Gig for two Horses and a Chaise with harness &c. compleat.

The Commissaries of the Vendue advertise that on Thursday the 17th of May, will be Exposed for sale to the highest Bidders, by Order of Dr. Philip Jackman in Stabroek; - The House on the South Dam of Stabroek at present occupied by him, being half Concession No. 26. Also a parcel of Sheep, Goats, some Household Furniture, hair powder and pomatum, three Negroes and other Articles.

Wanted for His Majesty's Service, Cash for Bills of Exchange at Thirty Days Sight, drawn upon The Right Honorable and Honorable, The Principal Officers of His Majesty's Ordnance. And Christopher Teesdale, Agent to the Corps of Royal Engineers, to the Amount of L 1000 Sterling
Sealed Tenders will be received at this Office, on Wednesday the 3d of May next, and the highest Offer will be accepted.

For London; - The Ship Isabella, Thomas Royzer Master, a fast sailing and staunch Vessel coppered up to her Bends. For Freight or Passage, apply to the Master on Board, or to James Consett, at the Store of Messrs. Heathcotte [sic], Southern & Co.
Mr. Consett has for sale at the store of Messrs. Heathcotte, Southern & Co. Imported in the above Ship, the following Articles, viz Bottled porter and ale, ditto in casks, cherry and raspberry brandy, old Port wine, hams, cheese, tongues, rounds beef, hyson tea, mould candles, boots, shoes, hats, cotton bagging, oznabrugs, cordage, paints and oil, paint oil, Negro jackets & hats, blue pennistone, ironmongery, a large & well chosen collection of Printed books, and a few thousand Wood hoops.

Aangekoomen by de Ondergetekende en voor civiele pryzen te Koop; allerhande soorten van Glaswerk, als Cristalle Vasen, Compotten, flaakommen, Fruitmandjes, Borerglasen [or Boterglasen], disertschaaltjes, differente qualiteiten van Bier- en Wynglasen, Caraffen, Lampen, stulpen, Liqueur Kelders, Spiegels in sorten, Verrekykers, Brandglasen en verdere Articuls van dien aart. Voorts hebzy ontvangen beste qualiteit Taaytpykers, Lasyzers, Cingel spykers tegens 25 stuivers, enkelde, dubbelde en 5 Duym spykers regens zo stuyvers. Ook is by hun te vinden een groot Assortement Kinder speelgoed, Coignac Brandewyn, Genever, differente qualiteit Rhyn en Roode Wyn, en verdere Articulen, welke zy hunne Begunstigers durven te recommandeeren.

Weggeloopen myn Negerjongen Robert, bygenaamd Cocoloco van de Moco Natie zedert den 20 Maart laatst leden. Die denzelven by de Ondergetekende terugbrengt, of in de Tronck bezorgt, zal een Johannes tot een belooning genieten.

Meyer, on very reasonable Terms; Best Irish beef & pork in whole and half barrels, Rose butter in firkins & kegs, tongues, tripe, salmon in kegs, Yorkshire hams, cheese, barley, split pease, oats, Madeira wine, London wired Porter, beer by the dozen, fine hyson tea, mustard, black pepper, Superfine cloths and cassimeres, Gentlemen & Ladies hats, do. do. stockings, do. do. silk & leather gloves, Dutch checks, oznabrugs, blue pennistone, boots and shoes, jewelery, silver spectacles &c a large assortment of Carpenters and Coopers tools, Gentlemens tool chests, hard, tin, glass & earthen ware, hoes, shovels, cutlasses, Iron pots, sod irons, razors, pen knives, scissars, knives and forks, knife cases, Sportsmens pocket knives, and a variety of other Articles.

J. Clapham offers for sale at his Store in Bridge Town, for ready Payment in Cash or Produce; - Soap, candles, mess beef in whole and half barrels, pork, butter, lard, tobacco, cordage, Russia sheeting, sein twine lines glauber salts in small tubs, mast hoops, pumps compleat for Colony Craft, coffee bags, sweet oil in cases, hatts, temper lime, brandy in pipes of an excellent quality. Also landing from Sloop Buxton, her Cargo consisting of boards, plank, shingles, clap boards, red oak staves and shooks, white oak shooks & heading, Wood hoops, &c.

Runaway from the Service of the Subscriber, a Negro Woman named Cinda, she is well known in Stabroek, where for some time past she has taken up her Residence; A liberal Reward to those who will discover & give due Proof of the Person or Persons who harbour or conceal her.

Runaway from the Subscriber, a stout Negro Woman named Sarah, Universally known in this Colony, she has been see on the West Coast Demerary; Any Person who will lodge her in the Barracks of Stabroek, or deliver her to her Owner, shall receive Two Joes Reward.

Absented from the Subscriber, on Monday the 9th Instant, a Negro Boy named Stepney, about 17 Years of Age, 5 feet 4 inches high, and is well known in Stabroek & the Vicinity; Persons are cautioned not to harbour or employ said Boy, and Masters of Vessels against taking him off the Colony, as the Rigour of Law will be fully enforced against such Offenders; Whoever will deliver him to the Subscriber in Stabroek, or lodge him in the stocks, shall be handsomely Rewarded.
