BEKENDMAAKINGEN, Van de Secretary. [heading]

Alzoo de Heer Robert Gordon, meerderjaarig Jongman, geboren te Eithemonthouse in het Graaffschap Averdeen in Schotland, woonende in Rio Essequebo, Bruidegom ter eenre EN Mejuffrouw Ann Maria Parkinson, minderjaarige jonge Dogter, geboren alhier te Demerary, Bruyd ter andere zyde - van voorneemens zyn met elkander een wettig Huwelyk aan te gaan, zoo als dezelve ook reeds op den 17de May 1804 voor Heeren Raaden Commissarissen uit den Edelen Achtbaaren Hove van Crimineele en Civiele de Justitie der Rivier en onderhorige Districten van Essequebo in ondertrouw zyn opgenomen, zoo wordt zulks mits dezen aan elk en een iegelyk bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geenen, welke vermeenen zich tegens dit voorgenomen Huwelyk te kunnen opponeeren, zulks in tyd te doen, daar waar en zoo het behoort.
Actum ter Secretary van Rio Demerary dezen 19 May 1804.

Alzoo J. C. de Reuter, meerderjaarig Jongman, geboren binnen deze Colonie ter eenre EN Catharina Bave, minderjaarige Jonge Dogter, met schristelyk consent van haar Voogd A. Odde, mede alhier geboren ter andere zyde - van voorneemens zyne met elkander een wettig Huwelyk aan te gaan, zoo als dezelve ook reeds op den 17 May 1804 voor Heeren Raaden Commissarissen uit den Edelen Achtbaaren Hove van Justitie dezer Rivier in ondertrouw zyn opgenomen, zoo wordt zulks mits dezen aan elk en een iegelyk bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geenen, welke voormeenen zich tegens die voorgenomen Huwelyk te kunnen opponeeren, zulks in tyds doen, daar waar en zoo zulks behoort.

Alzoo de Wel Edele Gestrenge Heer Colin Macrae, Gud [sic] Raad van Justitie dezer Colonie van voorneemens is van hier te vertrekken, zoo wordt zulks mits dezen bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geenen, welke iets van zyn Edl. te pretendeeren hebben, of aan hem verschuldigd zyn, hunne pretensien koomen ontvangen, of hunne schulden betalen ter zyner Domicilium binnen den tyd van 14 dagen of uiterlyk 3 weeken.

Alzoo de Heer Jonathan Hicks van voorneemens is binnen den tyd van 14 dagen van hier te vertrekken, zoo wordt zulks mits dezen bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geenen, welke iets van hem te pretendeeren hebben, of aan hem verschuldigd zyn, hunne pretensien koomen ontvangen, of hunne schulden betalen ter zyner Domicilium.

Notice is hereby given to all whom it may concern, that the Subscriber has removed from this Town, and now resides upon the Plantation of Mr. Henery on the Arabian Coast in Essequebo; And as no regard has been paid to his former Advertisement, by those who are Indebted to him, he is to inform them that he must be under the disagreeable necessity of putting all his Accounts, without any exceptions, into the hands of an Attorney at Law, if not settled to his Satisfaction, or discharged in the course of next week, as he cannot think of suffering those Persons he owes Money to, and have been Indulgent to him, to wait any longer.

De Ondergetekende vindt zich zer gedisappoincteerd door een menigte van Ingezetenen dezer Colonie, door niet te voldoen het geen zy hem verschuldigd zyn. Hy zal zich daarvoor eenige dagen ophouden in Stabroek, in het Huis te voren bewoond door den Procureur E. Loncke, en by faute van non betaling alles in Procureurs handen overgeeven. Hy heest dit reeds voor een Jaar in de Nieuwspapieren bekend gemaakt, maar is van geen effect geweest.

For Sale: - Those well known and valuable Premises, the Property of the Subscriber and at present Occupied by him situated in front of Plantation Werk & Rust, consisting of three Lots or Concessions, two in depth by one and a half in front, with a very strong comfortable and commodious Dwelling House, 72 feet long and 3 stories high, under which is a very extensive Room calculated for the Mercantile Business, and surrounded by a strong Brick Wall; also seven side Buildings appropriated for Kitchen in which is a new Brick Oven, Negroe Houses, Wash House, a Stable for six Horses, Chaise House, a small convenient Dwelling House and two Necessaries, the whole in Compleat Order, round which is an elegant new Railing of the best Colony Hard Wood and Gate lately finished, Painted &c. The Terms will be made easy to an approved Purchaser by applying to the Subscriber or to F. Martin Esqr.

locks, hinges, nails, Carbines and Fowling pieces, gun powder, temper lime, wood hoops, cotton and coffee bagging, negro cloathing, blankets, oznabrugs, checks, salempores, Russia and Irish sheeting, boots and shoes, hats, stockings, Stationary, medicines, hair matrasses, Sadlery, Irish linen, and a general assortment of Dry Goods, &c.

Drifted or Stolen, on Friday Night the 18th Inst. a new Punt about 20 feet long, no Tar or Paint about her; - a Reward will be given to any Person giving information where the Punt may be found. John Clapham.
Who offers for Sale; Pitch pine lumber, 3 1/2 & 4 inch scantling, Cypress shingles, temper lime, iron hoops, pump leather, candles, soap, salt fish, Gin in cases, Pumps for Colony Crafts, also a valuable Saddle Horse. Demerary, 26th May 1804.

The Undersigned having received on board of his Brig Nancy, laying before the Estate of Mr. Orr, G.B & G.G. No. 1 to 56, 56 bags of Coffee and T. C. I. No. 1 to 40, 40 bags ditto,
Wishes to know as soon as possible, who are the Shippers of the above said Produce.
