I, Robert Nicholson, Lieutenant Colonel,
Commandant of His Majesty's Forces in the Colonies of Essequebo and Demerary,
and their dependencies, do hereby Notify to all whom it may Concern that I have
on this day, by Virtue and in Pursuance of His Majesty's Pleasure Signified to
me, given over to His Excellency Anthony Beaujon Esqr. the Civil Govermnent
[sic] of the said Colonies, hitherto Administered by me as Lieutenant Governor.
Given in Stabroek, Demerary, this 13th
day of August 1804.

Colonies of Essequebo and Demerary and their Dependencies, &c. &c.

Unto all whom these Presents may or
shall concern, Greeting, be it known:
Whereas His Honor Lieut. Gov. Nicholson,
in an Extraordinary Assembly held this day, did communicate to Us the Orders he
had received from His Majesty, to give over the Government of the Colonies of
Essequebo and Demerary, to His Excellency Anthony Beaujon Esqr. lately Arrived
from England, to whom His Majesty had been pleased to entrust the same; - And
Whereas His Excellency Anthony Beaujon Esquire, having in consequence been
introduced into our court, and after Exhibiting to Us the Powers granted unto
him, on the part of His Majesty, did Assume the Civil Government of these
Colonies, to be Administered with all the Rights and Functions thereunto
annexed and heretofore Exercised by him, and was accordingly Sworn in as
Governor and President of all Courts and Colleges in the Colonies aforesaid.
These are therefore to Notify the same
to all the Inhabitants of these Colonies, and all others whom it may concern,
requiring them to take Notice thereof accordingly.
Given in our Extraordinary Assembly,
held at the Court House in Stabroek, Demerary, this 13th day of August, 1804,
and Published the same day.

voorneemens is, binnen den tyd van veertien dagen van hier te vertrekken, zo
word zulks mits deezen, bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geenen, welke iets van
hem te Pretendeeren hebben, of aan hem Verschuldigd zyn, hunne Pretentien komen
ontvangen, of hunne Schulden betaalen, ter zyner domicilium.

The Subscriber having been appointed by
the Honble: Court of Justice, as Curator for the Boedel of the decd. George
West, hereby calls upon alll Persons to whom the said G. West stood indebted,
at the time of his Death, to lodge with the Subscriber, States [sic] of their
several Claims duly authenicated; - He also calls upon all those who stood
Indebted to the said G. West, at the time of his Death, to come forward and pay
the same to the Subscriber, at the Store of Messrs. McInroy, Sandbach, McBean
& Co. so as to enable him to make up a State of the Boedel to be submitted
to the Court.

The Subscriber offers for Sale, his
Coffee Estate called Mon Desir, situate in the Canal No. 2, containing 100 Rood
front by 750 in dept, being 250 Acres of Land, of which 200 are empolder'd and
Planted with Eighty thousand Coffee trees, and nearly 40 Acres with Plantains
and Provisions, together with a number of 100 Prime Negroes and the Buildings
on the same, which are in such compleat order, that no repairs are necessary. -
The Inventory of the above, and the Conditions of Sale, may be seen at the
Office of the Lawyer Cantzlaar in Stabroek.

Commodore Hood, Commanding His Majesty's Ships of War in the Windward and
Leeward Charibean Islands Station, Addressed to His Excellency the Governor:
Blenheim, Carlisle Bay,
Barbados, 20th July 1804.
Sir!
I beg Your Excellency will be pleased to
Inform those under Your Government, that a Ship of War will be off Demerary,
the 3d. of October next, to take the Trade bound to Europe, under her
Protection, in order to join the general Convoy at the appointed Rendezvous.

Runaway, a Negro named Nile, of the
Timney Nation, he is a stout Man about six feet high, and is much used to Work
on board of Vessels. A handsome Reward will be given to any Person for lodging
him in the Barracks.
