Alzoo de Heer Archibald Iver, van voorneemens is, binnen den tyd van veertien dagen van hier te vertrekken, zo word zulks mits deezen bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geenen, welke iets van zyn Edele te pretendeeren hebben, of aan hem verschuldigd zyn, hunne Pretentien komen ontvangen, of hunne Schulden betaalen ter zyner Domicilium.

PUBLICK AUCTIONS. [heading]

On Wednesday the 29th Instant will be Exposed for Sale to the highest Bidders, at Mr. Robb's Stelling; A quantity of good Salt Fish in Casks.
August 25th 1804. Brereton & Kingston.

On Friday next the 31st Instant, will be exposed for Sale to the highest Bidders, at the Vendue Office; - A variety of Merchandize; also Madeira and Port Wine, Flour &c.

On Wednesday the 12th of September will be Exposed for Sale to the highest Bidders, by Order of O. J. Laurin Esqr. at his Store on the Premises of Mr. H. Beis; - Gold, silver, Dry Goods, beef, pork, fish in hogsheads, hams, Liqueurs, Flour, candles, soap, salad oil, porter, ale, brandy, gin in cases, claret, temper lime, cordage, nails, Glass and Earthen Ware, &c.

ADVERTISEMENTS. [heading]

The Public are hereby informed, that the Plan for the new Building Lots on Plantation Vlissingen, is now ready for inspection. The Lots are measured, marked out & Numbered by a Public Surveyor, and Mr. Daly, will attend at his House on the said Plantation, on Wednesdays & Saturdays, from 12 to 3 o'Clock, to treat with any Person desirous of taking any of the same.
Mr. Daly is happy to find his Plan so well approved of, not only by some of the first Merchants & Traders, but also by many Planters and Country Gentlemen, who desirous of having a place of Occasional or Temporary Residence well adapted for the transaction of their Concerns in Town, have been pleased to consider the present, as affording every advantage; and it being his chief wish to see this spot Occupied by the most respectable Characters he purposes to render the same as highly conducive as possible to their comfort and pleasure.
Those Gentlemen who have bespoken Lots, are requested to come forward, to settle for the same within a fortnight from the date of this Advertisement, otherwise, Mr. Daly must consider himself at Liberty to treat with others.

The Subscriber advertises for the information of the Public, that his Domicilium Citandi et Executandi is at the House of P. C. J. van Reyssel [sic] Esqr. in Stabroek.

Captain Thompson of the Ship Sally, having been disappointed in several Shipments which he expected he should have received before this time, finds it necessary to delay sailing till the Convoy, which is appointed for the 3d of October next. He now requests all such Planters and Merchants as mean to Ship any Produce in the Sally to be as speedy as possible in sending their Shipments on board. For Freight or Passage apply to the captain on board, or at the Store of McInroy, Sandbach, McBean & Co.

Who will be much Obliged to the Gentlemen Shippers for their assistance in Loading this Vessel.

The Subscriber takes the Liberty to inform the Public that he is intended to open a Seminary for the purpose of instructing Youth of both Sexes in the following Branches of Literature, viz: English, French, Dutch, German, Latin and Greek Languages, Writing, Arithmetic, Italian Book-Keeping, and likewise the Elements of the Forte Piano. For the Accomodation [sic] of those who cannot conveniently attend at the regular Hours, private Lessons will be given.
Merchants also, who should wish to have their Books once or twice per Week Posted can be accommodated [sic] too, and rely upon his integrety [sic]. For further Particulars please to apply.

The Subscribers acquaint their Friends, that they have removed to Calcedonien Estate, where they intend to continue the wood Cutting Business, under the firm of Labee & Co. they make therefore be supplied with every kind of Inland wood Planks, by applying at the Store of Cline & Duncan, on the fore grounds of Werk & Rust Estate, next door to Messrs. Bruninghaus & Bergh. - They recommend themselves, to the favor of the Public, under promise of ready & civil Attendance.

Extract out of the Haarlem Gazette, of the 26th June, 1804. [heading]
Doekscheer and Stenbergen, Merchants in Amsterdam, do hereby Advertise, that finding themselves in the capacity to resume their former Concerns, and to make every Payment as they have actually renounced the benefit of Surcease [illegible] Payments, granted to them by the National Court of Justice of the Batavian Republick, they therefore, request all and every Person who may have any Demands or Claims to the said House, to come forward immediately, to receive their Payment, or settle their engagements at their Counting House at the above mentioned place.

Selling off by John Hall near the American Stelling: Best Florence Oil at f 40 per case of 30 flasks, Essence of Spruce f 22 per box of 12 pots, London particular Madeira Wine at f 44 per dozen, old Port Wine f 30 per dozen, London wired Porter f 10 per doz; best Hyson Tea f 9.5 per [symbol], superfine scarlet cloth f 22 per yard, 2d scarlet cloth f 13 . 15 per yard, sein twine f 16 10 per bundle, mixed spices f 44 per [symbol], Dutch hoes and shovels f 27 10 per dozen, double flint pint Tumblers at f 7 10 per dozen, an elegant Pheaton [sic] Harness f 400, a Gentleman's Turning Lathe with Tools f 440, bottle jacks, copper scales, patent lamps, iron sauce pans lined with china, and various other Articles. The Undersigned have on Sale at their Store in the New Town near the Stelling, the following Articles. - Beef in whole & half barrels, pork in ditto, white & hard pine lumber, staves and heading, shooks for coffee casks and wood hoops, ironmongery, amongst which are stock and pipe locks of every size, brass and iron plate chamber doot ditto, nails, hoes and bills for cutting canes, cutlasses, shovels, falling axes, single and double bolted [???] locks, small ditto for portmantuas, iron potts and tea settles, Iron wedges for wind mills, box, chest and door locks, hinges of every description, as well brass as iron, brads and pump tacks, knives and forks, window and door bolts of various sizes, mason's trowels, buck knives, pen ditto, pruning ditto, coffin furniture in setts, Razors in cases of an inferior quality for negroes, an assortment of carpenters tools, as well as coopers, a parcell of slops, amongst which are blue jackets and trowsers white, trowsers of three qualities and red flannel shirts, a parcell of ship chandlery, amongst which are blocks single and double of every size, mast hoops, hands, dead eyes, trucks and hearts, boat hooks, grains, handles for draw buckels and caulking irons, fish hooks, fishing lines, chark lines and deep sea chord, sewing twine, sail needles and palm irons, assortment of glass and earthen ware, gun powder, patent shot and gun flints, time glasses, quadrants, mariners compasses and spy glasses, broad cloth and kerseymere, sugar strainers, lamp oil in jugs, Bristol temper lime in tierces, tobacco in barrels, also Madeira Wine and porter per dozen, brandy in bottles, olives, pickles and sauces, a parcell of Irish butter in firkins of the 1st quality, a parcell of split pease and a variety of small Articles not inserted here.

Runaway from the Subscriber, a Negro wench named Diana, being formerly the property of Mr. Walteling, she is very well acquainted about the Town. Any body that will seize the said wench, and deliver her to J. F. Nayes [sic – Narjes?] Esqr., on Plantation Repentir, or to the Subscriber in Mahaica, shall receive a Joe reward.

Just received and for Sale by the Subscriber at his Store in front of Plantation Vlissingen, as follows viz: Butter in 1 4, 1 2 and whole firkins, spermaceti candles, tallow ditto, lard, soap, starch, Hams, beef, pork, shads, mackerel, flour, pickled oysters, tobacco, first quality boots and shoes, Madeira wine in 1 4 casks, hogsheads, pipes and bottles, cogniac brandy, Jamaica spirits, brown stout, Albany plank and boards, hogshead shooks, &c. &c. &c. which will be Sold at low prices for immediate Payment.

Two Carpenter Negroes belonging to the Estate of a Gentleman lately deceased; these People have been Employed at their Trade in one of the Leeward Islands, as well as in this Colony, for a number of Years, and are well worth the attention of Planters or others wanting steady Tradesmen; - They will be Sold reasonable for immediate Payment. Apply to Messrs. McInroy, Sandbach, McBean & Co. in Stabroek, or Gilbert Robertson, in Mahaica. 18th August 1804.
