PUBLICK AUCTIONS. [heading]

On Wednesday the 26th Inst. will be sold to the highest Bidders, at the Vendue Office; - 100 boxes mould candles, 100 barrels beef, 100 barrels pork, 50 cases of sweet oil, 6 Hogsheads of Tobacco &c. &c.

On Friday the 28th Inst. will be Sold to the highest Bidders, by Order of Messrs. John Madden & Co. at their Store. - 20 Pipes of Madeira Wine of the first Quality.

On Tuesday the 2d of October, will be Exposed for sale on the American Stelling, by Order of J. Northey Esqr. - One Hundred barrels of Pork.

On Monday the 8th of October, will be Exposed for sale to the highest Bidders, at the Vendue Office, by Order of Lachlan Cuming Esqr. Executor to the Estate of Wm. Bow deceased. - A good Carpenter Negro, a chest of Carpenters tools and a Trunk of Wearing Apparel, likewise a few Field Negroes.

On Tuesday the 9th October, will be Exposed for sale to the highest Bidders, at the House of the Orphan Chamber of this Colony; - A very fine parcel of Goods, viz Furniture, cloaths, gold and silver watches, raw diamonds, fine ready made linen, feather beds, German, English, French, Dutch and Italian books, Negroes, and what further will be offered on the day of sale.

To be disposed of by Private Bargain, several Carpenter Negroes and a Young Woman (a Washer & Ironer,) also the half Lot No. 6 and Buildings thereon in Kingston; if not disposed of before the 20th October next, they will be sold at Public Vendue. Terms may be known on application to either of the Subscribers, who are fully authorised to conclude the Sale.

Weggeloopen een Negerjongen genaamt Cornelis, zynde kort, dik, swart en glad van vel, houd zich naar gissing op, omme of by het Fort Willem Fredrik. de geenen die dezelve mogt opvangen en by den Drossaart in bewaaring stellen, of by den ondergeteekende bezorgen, zal genereus beloond Worden.

This is to give Notice to all Persons concerned, that John Sargant of the Island of Barbados, hath superceded his Power of Attorney held by Richard Keene Austin, and hath in his place & stead, appointed Jacob Lewis as pr. Power on Record in this Colony, and that therefore said Austin hath had no Power to bind said Sargant by his signature, since the 28th of last Month August. - All Persons holding Debts or Claims on which said Sargant is liable, are requested to render in an account of the same as soon as possible to the Subscriber, that an Arrangement of the concern of Sargant & Austin, may be made with all Expedition.

Demerary, 22d Sept 1804

For Sale by the Subscriber on Plantation Potosie, next to Free & Easy, any Quantity of Corn, for cash, approved Bills of Exchange, or Coffee and Cotton, or good inch and inch & a half Crab-wood Plank, at Cash price, to be delivered on the delivery of the Corn; The Subscriber also offers for sale, Lots 91 & 100, in Cumingsburg, No. 91 with a House Frame raised on it, 40 feet long, 24 feet wide and 3 story high, built of green hart and wallaba, the Roof close boarded and covered with wallaba shingles, which will be sold cheap, 6 & 12 Months credit will be given to an approved Purchaser on good Security being given - Any Person wishful of Purchasing it can apply to the Subscriber on Pln. Potosie.

It is requested that all those who have Vangloon Briefs for the catching of Runaway Negroes from the different Districts of this Colony, and given by the Underwritten or the Cipier, to call for Payment either at the Honble Fiscall's Office, or to me, on or before the 16th of October next.

The Subscriber having been appointed by the Assignees of Messrs. Turnbull, Forbes & Co. Sole Attorney for the concerned of that House, in the Colonies of Demerary, Essequebo and Berbice, in consequence of the Voluntary Resignation of the Honble M. LaMaison; hereby requests all Persons Indebted to the said Firm of Turnbull, Forbes & Co. to come forward and settle their Accounts within two Months from this date, otherwise he will be under the disagreeable necessity of taking legal steps to enforce the same.

The Subscriber offers for sale at his Store in Bridge Town. - Flour in barrels and half barrels, rice, tobacco, iron hoops, temper lime, brandy, gin, claret wine, Russia canvas, beef & pork, candles, soap, ship bread &c. also a stout American Horse fit for the Chaise or Saddle

All Persons are hereby cautioned not to receive in Payment or otherwise, an Order drawn by H. van Nooten Esqr. q.q. A. Backer Esqr. in favor of the Subscriber, for Six hundred and seventeen Guilders and 8 pennings, it being lost by him and Unendorsed; - Should any Person find said Order, they are requested to deposit the same in the hands of J. Bruninghaus Esqr. as also All Persons having any just Demands against him or his Estate Klyne Parys, are requested to deliver their Accounts at the Store of Messrs. Bruninghaus & Co. or E. Loncke Esqr. or to himself on said Plantation in Essequebo.

Drifted on Tuesday Night last, from the Snow Golden Grove, a long boat, the bottom new sheathed and painted black with yellow sides, on the inside of the stern is the name of Thomas White; - Whoever can give Information of her to the Subscribers, or to the Captain on bard, will be handsomely Rewarded.

Runaway from the Subscriber on Sunday Night last, two Negro Men, who took with them a small Craft, one by name Richard, an old Offender who has been lately taken out of the Barracks, the other Man by name John, a Creole of Barbados. they are both Artful Fellows, it is likely they may endeavour to get round to Essequebo, or secret themselves on board some Vessel; All Captains and others are forbid employing them or taking them off the Colony, as the Law will be enforced against any such Offender - A Reward of One Joe will be given for apprehending the Man by name John, and Four Dollars for the other Man Richard, and sending them to the Subscriber, or lodging them in the Barracks.

Runaway from the Subscriber, three Negroes, namely, Nancy, Madelane and Tom; the first may be known by being marked with the small pox and having a very wide space between her teeth, the second by being far advanced in Pregnancy and bout five feet high, and the third, (a Man) by being branded on the breast with the following Letters, J. F. & C E. - Whoever will apprehend either or all three of said Negroes, and lodge them in the Barracks, shall receive One Joe Reward for each.
