BEKENDMAAKINGEN, Van de Secretary. [heading]

The Roll and Commissarial Court which were to be held on Tueseay [sic] the 4th Instant, are put-off 'till Thursday the 6th of that Month.

Alzoo de Heer Samuel Barrington King meederjaarig Jongman gebooren te Barbados ter Eenre en Mejuffrouw Lucy Ann Jones, minderjaarig Jongedochter gebooren te Essequebo geassisteerd met den Heer Francis Bynoe aangehuuwde Broedverwant welke verklaarde dat de Bruid geen Ouders of Voogde was hebbende ter andere zyde. – Van voorneemens zyn met elkanderen een wettig Huwelyk aantegaan zoo als dezelve ook bereids op den 29ste deezer maand voor Heeren Raaden Commissarissen uit aan Edelde [sic] Achtbaare Hove van Justitie, in ondertrouw zyn opgenoome, zoo word zulks mits deeze aan elk en een iegelyk geadverteerd ten einde die geene welke vermeenen zich tegens dit voorgenoome Huwelyk te kunnen opponeeren zulks in tyds te doen, ter plaatse waar zulks zal bohooren.
Actum ter Secretary van Rio Demerary den 31ste Mey 1805.

Alle die geene welke iets te pretendeeren hebben van, of verschuldigt zyn aan de Heeren John Church, Thomas Marsh, en James Taitt, gelieve daar van opgaave of betaaling te doen ter hunner Domicilium, ofte wel ter Secretary alhier, alzoo gemelde Heeren van voornemens zyn binnen de tyd van veertien dagen of wel met het eerstvertrekkend convooy deeze Colonie te verlaaten.

Alzoo den Heer M. J. Verroen ingevolge laaste advertentien zich in de onmogelykheid bevonde heest uit deeze Colonie te vertrekken, adverteerd by nogmaals zyne intentie, om zoo dra het Embargo zal opgeheeven zyn, met het eerstmogelyke geleegenheid deeze Colonie te verlaaten.

Uit kragte van zeeker Extract Notul de dato 22 Mey 1805. wourd uit naam en van weegens Alexander McNabb & Alexander Wishart, als Executeuren en Testamentair ten Boedel wylen John Louden; - door my ondergeteekende Exploicteur by deeze voor de tweede maale by Edicte

Alle bekende en onbekende Crediteuren van voorgemelde Boedel. Omme te Compareeren voor den Heer Raad Commissaris, zittende ter Audientie der 14d. Rolle op de Hoofdplaatse Stabroek, teegens den 17de Juny Eerstkoomende - Ten fine om als nog hunne deugdelyke pretentien lasten gemelde Boedel te koomen op en aangeeven, en daar op hun Recht van proe of concurrentie te sustineeren als na Rechten. - Zullende na expiratie van deeze 2, 3, en 4de exsuperabundandi [sic] Edicte, teegens de non Comparanten, werden geprocedeerd tot het eeuwig Silentium, en zynde dit de tweede Edictale Citatie.

PUBLIC AUCTIONS. [heading]

On Friday the 7th Instant will be exposed for Sale at the Vendue Office, to the highest Bidders, by order of Amos Leeds Esqr. 100 barrels and half barrels new Beef, just Landed, 25 Kegs tripe, an Elegant Phaeton with plated harness compleat.
On the same day will be exposed for sale dry goods, Negroes &c.

On Thursday the 21st Instant will be exposed for Sale to the highest Bidders, at the Vendue Office, by order of Philip Yates Esqr. Executor to the Late Edward J. Paynter: - A Negro Boy named Sam and two Trunks of wearing Apparel.

Sealed Tenders will be received at this Office on or before Saturday the 8th of June next, which when opened in the presence of Brigadier General Montgomorie the most favorable offers will be accepted.

For Sale by the Subscriber at his Sore [sic] on the American Stelling: Irish Pork in whole and half barrels, potatoes in barrels and in ditto, butter in firkins, Tobacco in barrels, split pease and pearl barley in kegs, madeira wine in pipes, hogsheads, quarter casks and by the dozen, port wine by the dozen, Bristol beer and London porter in casks of 7 dozen, brandy, Grenada old rum, ginever, ready made clothes, glass ware assorted, a general assortment of cordage, pitch tar, turpentine and rosin in barrels, and a few puncheons of Indian corn.

Absented from the Subscriber's House, Werk & Rust, a Negro woman named Veronica of the Mocko Nation middle age and Stature, she is a yellow skin wench of a down look, and fallen Breast; - And from Pln. Industry, Corabano, a young Negro man named Zondag, of the Congo nation about 5 feet 10 inches high of a yellow complexion, stout and well made, of a pleasant countenance, and has no scars or marks of the whip on any part of his Body, from the heretofore good conduct of this Negro man it is suspected that he is kept up by some one, Whoever can, or will give information of these Negroes, or lodge them in the Barracks, on application to Mrs. Ward Werk & Rust, or to the Subscriber on Pln. Industry, shall be generously rewarded.

Alle die geene welke iets te pretendeeren hebben ofte verschuldigt zyn, aan den Boedel van wylen den Heer M. Henderiks, overleeden op de Pl: de Kinderen, worden verzogt hunne Reekeningen in tegeeven, en hunne schulden te koomen voldoen; in handen van den eerst ondergeteekende, op de Pl: 't Vergenoegen, en zulks binnen de tyd van ses Weeken; ten einde voorschreevene Boedel tot Liquiditeit te kunnen brengen.

For Sale: That Elegant three Storie house together with the out Buildings, as, Stables for four Horses, Carriage House, Kitchen, two Negro Houses, water house, &c. situated on the Plantation Vlissengen Lot no. 3; the House is 50 feet by 25, and the Land 110 by 90, the lease is for 30 Years. - For Terms apply to Doctr. De Niefeld. If the House is not disposed off [sic] by private Sale within the space of a fortnight, it will be Sold at Public Vendue.

On Pln. La Penitence in Demerary River, two Estates from Town, a few hundred bunches may be had weekly by apply to Wm. L. Cawan, q. q. on the Estate.

The Subscriber intending for England positively with the first Convoy, will consider himself much obliged, by those Gentlemen indebted to him, coming forward with immediate Payment of their respective Accounts: - Such Persons as he stands indebted to, are requested to render in their Accounts for Payment, on or before the 10th of June next.

Who has for Sale a Quantity of Good Cyder.

The Subscriber offers for Sale, for immediate Payment or Bills of Exchange at 90 days sight, a Dwelling House pleasantly situated on Eve Leary, with a Lot of Land, cooking Kitchen and oven, shelves, tables, &c. with a stable and chaise House, &c. it will suit a small Family. It has two comfortable Rooms below and two above, the rooms in the lower department is very neat, one being papered, and the other painted, it has also a good Store, and water house, and a small garden in front of the House.

Morson, werden vriendelyk verzogt, hunnen pretentien op te geeven, en hunne schulde te koomen voldoen, aan de ondergteekenden; binnen den tyd van Ses Weeken, na dato deezes, ten einde eene spoedige Liquidatie van die Boedel.

Runaway, six Months ago, a negro man named Leyden, big and strong of Stature; he is of the Mandingo nation, speaks English and the Creole Language, shaves and dresses hair, he is seen near the Thomas and the Barracks: - Another about 3 Months ago, called Chante, formerly the property of E. Butler deceased: He was some time ago taken up at Kewary Estate in Essequebo, but runaway by Night: And also 2 Negro Wenches, called Marianna and Assiba, formerly the Property of said E. Butler decd: they keep themselves presumptively at one or other Estate between Stabroek and Providence where they are well acquainted. A Joe reward is offered for bringing either of them to the Subscriber or in the Stocks of Stabroek.

Wegeloopen van den ondergeteekende, Een Neger Jonge genaamd Jan, voorheen 't Eigendom van Doctor Beckurtz, hy is van de Canga Natie, spreekt zeer goed Holland Cre[accent]oolsch en is in d'environs van Stabroek zeewel bekend. - Die denzelven terug brengt by den ondergeteekenden of by den Drossaart, zal genereuslyk beloond werden.

Runaway from the Subscriber, a Negro Woman named Bella, of the Congo Nation, has a Yellow Skin much petted [sic] with the small Pox wants one of her front teeth, speaks Dutch and English, has a scar a little above the left Breast. Any Person who will deliver her to the Subscriber, or lodge her in the Barracks, will receive a reward of one Joe: - A further reward of two Joes will be given to any Person who will give information where she is harboured as the Law will be regidly [sic] enforced.

J. Benning returns sincere respects to the Ladies and Gentlemen of this Colony for the favors conferred since his late arrival, and informs them that he will next week remove to the House adjoining that of Mr. Jno. Brooks, Watch Maker, Bridge Town, where he will dispose of the following articles, of the very best quality, and at the very lowest Prices, for Cash or Produce: - Tool chests, with Army Implements very compleat, writing Desks, with shaving utencils [sic] do, silk sashes, field Officer's spurs, plain do, a variety of Fancy, and plain Gilt Buttons, English Ale by the dozn [sic], Cyder do. Porter do, table beer do, Pantaloons and Waistcoats, fine cotton Shirting, silk Umbrellas, cordage assorted, Hyson and Gun Powder Tea, loaf sugar, broad and narrow cloths, ready-made coats and waistcoats, Breeches patterns, Gentlemen's and Ladies silk Hats, servants ditto with gold bands, printed calicoes, silk chamberry muslin gown pieces, ready made shirts, Irish linens and sheeting, silk stockings, Ladies long silk gloves, silk handkerchiefs, gentlemen's boots and shoes, Ladies laced ditto, Officers Gold Apulets [sic], ditto daggers, sword knots, black side belts, Telescopes, variety of Gold and Silver watches, Gold Rings, ditto Bracelets, seals elegantly mounted with Gold, Gold Ear rings, do broaches, peeble [sic] seals Gold mounted, ditto broaches do, silver Tea Pots, do sugar bows, ditto milk pots, plated Tea-Urns, tea sets, Gold burnished tea trays, coffee ditto, tea cadies, bread bashket, plated candlesticks, silver edged, medicine chests, stationary, ledgers, day books, &c. Ivory handled knives and forks, green ditto, door locks, dressing glasses, marking Types in sets, pen knives, &c. with a great Variety of other Articles.

The Subscriber most respectfully informs the Inhabitants of Demerary, that he has now open [sic] and for sale (opposite the House of Messrs: Schwiers & Downer, New Town,) a Valuable assortment of Medicines, lately imported from London, which he will sell on very reasonable terms for Cash, and will thank his Friends and the Public for their Favors.
