Saturday, the 29th of June.

All those who had put any Suits or Causes (not yet decided) either as Plaintiffs or Defendants, into the hands of the following Lawyers lately practising at the Bar of the Honble: Court of Justice of this Colony, viz: I. A. Paradys, C. I. A. Stakman and M. I. Verroen, and also the Attorney at Law Loncke, gone to Essequebo, and who since that time may have made no other Arrangements for the defence of their said Suits or Causes, are hereby Warned by me, the undersigned Secretary of this Colony, being thereto authorised by the Honble: Court aforesaid, to engage another Lawyer for the defence of such Causes, before the next Ordinary Sessions of said Court, to be held in the Month of July next ensuing, or in default of such Lawyer, to make such representations as circumstances may require; as all Causes or Suits entered on the usual Returns or Lists of the Exploiteur will then certainly be called up in rotation, without distinction.

Alzo den Heer A. H. Walstab van voorneemens is, om zoo dra het Embargo zal opgeheeven zyn met de Eerst moogelyke geleegentheid deeze Colonie te verlaaten, zoo word zulks mits deezen aan elk en een Iegelyk geadverteerd ten einde die geenen welke iets van hem te pretendeeren hebben, of aan hem verschuldigd zyn, hunne Pretensien koomen Ontsangen, of hunne schulden Voldoen, ten zyner Comptoire, op de voorgrond van de Plantagie Werk & Rust, of ter zyner Domicilium op de Plantagie Eendragt in het Canal No. 1, aan de West wal deezer Rivier.
Actum der Secretary, van Rio Demerary deezen 28ste Juny 1805.

Alzoo de navolgende Persoonen zig by Requesten aan den Edele Achtbaare Hove van Politie der Rivieren en onderhoorige Districten van Essequebo en Demerary hebben geaddresseerd, verzoekende om Brieven van Vrydom, als: - Tully Higgins, Inwoonder van Essequebo, voor de Mulattine Sally Kelly, hem in Eigendom toebehoorende - De Neegerin Patience, geadsisteerd met G. A. de Villeneuve, voor haar zelve, bevoorens de Eigendom van W. D. Boon. –
Zo is 't, dat allen en een iegelyk, die eenig Recht of Pretentie op de Voornoemde Slaaven zoude vermeenen te hebben, by deezen worden geadverteerd, hunne Sustenuen daar van aan 't Commandement der Rivier Essequebo en ter Secretary van den Hove van Politie in Demerary, behoorlyk te koomen aangeeven, tusschen deeze en de aanstaande Sessie van welgemelde Hove die zyn zal in de maand July Eerstkoomende Zullende by faute van dien, op de gedaane verzoeken van de Requestranten worden gedisponeerd als bevonden zalworden te behooren.
Acturm in raade van Politie der Rivieren en onderhoorige Districten van Essequebo en Demerary deezen Eerste may 1805.

Alzo de Heer John Ryan van voorneemens is met het eerste vertrekkende Convoy, en Grace van de Lande binnen den tyd van Veertien Dagen van hier te vertrekken, zo wordt zulks mits dezen bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geenen, welke iets van hun te pretendeeren hebben, of aan hun verschuldigd zyn, hunne pretensien kommen ontvrngen [sic], of hunne Schulden betaalen, ter hunner Domicilium.

PUBLIC AUCTIONS. [heading]

On Wednesday the 3d of July will be exposed for sale to the highest Bidders, for the benefit of those concerned, by order of Capt. G. Heuison, of the Ship Tyson, at the Store of Messrs. Telford, Naghten & Co. in Cumingsburg: - Nine and a half bales of cotton, and a parcel of loose do, also a Cable 120 Fatham [sic] long and 16 Inches in circumference, which were damaged by a fire breaking out on Board said Ship and condemn'd by a Survey held on them.

On Friday the 5th of July will be exposed for sale to the highest Bidders, by order of J. H. Beckman Esqr, Executor to the late H. Jannik, at the Vendue Office; viz: - Three Negro men, Boat Buliders, named Riegis, Castor and Demerary, two chests of Carpenters tools, with sundry other articles.
On the same day will be exposed for sale, by order of Alexr. Reith & Robert Stephenson Esqrs. Executors to the late Richard Porter, two Negroes and sundry wearing Apparel &c.

On Wednesday and Thursday the 10th and 11th of July next, will be exposed for sale to the highest Bidders, by order of Messrs. M'Donald, Halket & Co. at their Store in New Town, a large assortment of dry goods and Plantation stores &c. consisting of chitses, callicoes, jeans, muslin and muslinets, Irish linen, cotton shirting, linen and cotton pocket handkerchiefs, table cloths, checks, and stripes, Romal, French and Pullicat handkerchiefs, tapes and thread, bed tick, boots and shoes, stockings, silk umbrellas, Gentlemens ready made coats, waistcoats, pantaloons, shirts, English soap and candles, paint oil and paints, cordage, Carpenters and Coopers tools, hoes, cutlasses, hooks, bolts, hinges, glass and earthen ware, sadlery and harness, mahogany side-boards, tea and card tables, bureaus, writing desks, knife cases, fowling pieces, pistols, powder and shott, shott belts and powder horns, London particular Madeira wine in pipes, hogsheads and quarter casks, porter and beer in bottles, vinegar in barrels, beef, pork, Negroes &c.

Doctor Van Dura having Postponed his departure for Europe, and being determined to continue his Practice as Physician, acquaints his Friends and the Public therewith. - He resides at present at his House on Vlissengen Estate, where any orders will be punctually executed.

Word mits deezen aan Elk en Een Ygelyk bekend gemaakt, dat met aanstaande Commissary in de Maand Augustus, door en van Weegens 't Officie Fiscaal deezer Revier [sic] op Publicque Vendue zullen worden Verkogt de Volgende Ketting Negers, als:
Een Nieuwe Neger genaamd Jan.
Een Neger genaamd Quacoe, aankomende S. Deeges.
Een Neger genaamd Mars. aankomende Fox.

Den Ondergetekende, door den Edele Achtbaare Hove deezer Rivier, als gezwooren Boek houder in de Hollandsche, Fransch en Hoogduitsche Taalen aangesteld zynde, berigt hier van een ygelyk; ten Einde die geenen, dewelke hem in dat vak benodigd hebben, zig ten zyner Huyze kunnen Adresseeren, woonende aan de Zydam van Plantagie Werk & Rust, by wien ook dagelyks Bananen teegens een verminderde Prys te bekoommen zyn.

The Subscriber begs leave to inform his Friends and the Public, that having Built a Commodious House on front of Plantation Vlissengen, and having obtained His Excellency the Governor's Permission, he intends to continue in it the Establishment of the Union Coffee-House under the same Rules and Regulations with which it began.
He will have two good Billiard Tables, and a Room exclusively for the use of the Subscribers when they have Occasion to meet on Business, and a Committee will be chosen from among the present Subscribers to Regulate the Election of new Members.
Having also got a Person to join him in the Business, adequate to give satisfaction is such a line, and having an number of Bed Rooms, he purposes to accommodate Gentlemen from the Country, and Strangers Arriving in the Colony, with Board and Lodging.
The Subscriber at the same time, takes this opportunity of making his gratefull Acknowledgment to the Public, and to the Gentlemen Proprietors of, and the Subscribers to the present Establishment in Particular, for their past Favours which he hopes to continue to merrit [sic].

For Sale by the Subscriber at his Store on Plantation Werk & Rust, at a reduced price for immediate Payment, the following articles: - Lumber Clapboards, Shingles, Red Oak Staves, Red and White Oak Shooks, Beef, Tongues, Salmon, Sausages, Fish in hogsheads and boxes, Soap, Candles, and a variety of other Articles too tedious to mention.

All Persons having demands against the Estate of Mr. Alxr. Munro, of this Colony, Planter, deceased, are requested to render the same to either of the Subscribers, and such Persons as are indebted to the said Estate will please come to an immediate settlement, in order that the deceased' affairs may be brought to a speedy close.

Strayed on Sunday last, out of a parcel of New Negroes Sold by Mr. King, a New Negro Man from the Gold coast; he had on a check lap and is supposed to have separated about Paradise Estate, any Person taking up a Negro of such description is requested to inform B. Lustall Esqr. at Froes Amis, or Chs. Parker Esqr. at Wood Lands, Mahaica, - A Joe reward will be given.

By den Ondergeteekende is teegens Contante Betaaling te Koop: Oude Rhynse Wyn by de kist of by doezyn bottels, en Spawater van de beste qualiteit. - Ook is by denselven nog te hebben, beste rood wyn, witten Bergerac wyn, Mallaga, Madeira, Brandewyn by de doezyn Bottels, best Schidamse Genever in kelders, maagbitter, Hollandse lange pypen, tabak, Neeger pypen, zoete oly, zwarte peeper, Hoeden, en diverse Drooge Goederen, Yzerwaaren en andere Kleene Winkelwaaren, alet vor Civiele Prysen

Een ieder die Eenige Pretentien tot lasten van den Boedel wylen J. W. Cuvelje, ofte wel tot lasten van den Ondergetekende heest, worden verzogt om hunne Pretentien ten Huise van hem Ondergetekende, wonende in Cumingsburg, te koomen in leveren, en daarin tegen te Voldoen, het geen aan gemelde Boedel, als wel des Ondergetekende's Prive verschuldigt zyn, aangezien den Ondergetekende voornemens is, om by Expiratie van Drie Weeken zyn Woonplaats te Veranderen.

The Subscriber intending to leave this Colony, offers for Sale, by private Sale, and upon Advantageous conditions, the following Concessions and Buildings thereon, situate on the River side of Pln. Werk & Rust, formerly the Property of Jacob Lachtrop, viz: A Concession upon which stands a side Building of one and a half Storie in height, and another side Building serving for a Kitchen &c. with a fence around it. - A Concession with a new Dwelling House, side Buildings, fowl house, two spacious Gardens and an extensive Store house on the River side, the frame of Inland wood, secured by Iron grates, one and a half storie high, 70 feet long and 30 in breadth, with a Stelling thereto belonging untill low water mark; all in the best order and particularly adopted for the American and African trade. - Five large Concessions without Buildings, partly fenced in: The above 7 Concessions are to be Sold either jointly or separately; a Platform of the whole showing the different divisions, may be seen at the Subscriber's, who offers further for Sale, a Concession with two old Buildings on the same, situate aback of Doctor Wollf's [sic – spelling of surname] Concession, next to the Street, leading to the Stelling.
