His Excellency the Commander in Chief is pleased to appoint the following Gentlemen, in his Personal Staff, as Aides-de-Camp, with Rank as Lieutenant-Colonels: -
Major J. T. Van Well, from the Loyal Orange Brigade; John M'Garel, Esqr.; Lieut. Col. P. A. De Veer, and John Reed, Esqr.
Memorandum. - The Appointment of J. D. Learmont, to be Lieutenant in the First Battalion, Demerary Militia, as stated in the Gazette of the 24th ultimo, has not taken place.

Berbice. [heading]
Public Vendue. - On Monday the 6th of March ensuing, and following days, will be sold to the highest bidders, by order of the Executors of the late Mrs. H. J. Buse - the Coffee Plantations Lust tot Rust and Providence, in the River Berbice; and the Cotton Plantation Zee Zigt, or No. 2, on the West Sea Coast of Berbice; together with about Six Hundred Slaves, Cattle, Furniture, and what further may appear.
For terms of sale, and other particulars, application to be made to A. A. de la Court, Esqr. New-Amsterdam, or to
D. C. Cameron, D.V.M.
N.B. - The sale will take place on the respective Estates, and commence at 11 o'clock precisely.

The following vessels have cleared from the Custom-House. It is indeed a very respectable list; and is beginning the year, in a manner highly illustrative of the value of the colony, and the energies of its inhabitants.
