Court
of Policy. [heading]
Notice
is hereby given, to all those Coloured and Black Persons who appeared before
the Honourable the Court of Policy, on the 20th, 21st, 22d, and 23d of March,
and following days, to be examined touching their Claims to Freedom, that their
several Petitions, agreeably to the Court's Resolution of the 6th April, and
published the 11th following - are now appointed and ready to be given off.
For which purpose, attendance will be given at the proper Office, adjoining the
Court-House, every day, from Thursday the 6th July next, until the 20th
following.
And
all those Persons of the above description, who gave in their Claims to
Freedom, (in compliance with Colonel Cobb's [sic] Proclamation, of 18th
September, 1813), to the respective Fiscals and Burgher-Officers, and who have
not yet taken back their Papers, to call for the same on Thursday next, the 6th
July, and following days, until the 20th of the same month.

Agreement of Co-Partnership, entered into between the Subscribers, on the 1st
May last, has been cancelled. All accounts will be settled by the Firm of

A. Reisser, M.D. intending to practise Medicine and Surgery, in this town,
recommends himself to those gentlemen who may choose to favour him with their
confidence. His residence is in Stabroek, Lot. No. 11, opposite the Marshal's
Office. - June 30.
Banns
of Matrimony, between Mauritz Johan Jacobus Mottet and Miss Anna Geertruyda
Abigal Stamper; the former of age, the latter a minor but with the consent of
her Mother - both born in this colony.
Any
person knowing any just cause, or impediment, why the above parties should not
be joined together in Holy Matrimony, must declare the same to the Revd. W. G.
Straghan. - July 1.
Runaway
from the Undersigned, five weeks ago, a stout yellow-skinned Negro Wench, named
Margaret; has along with her a white [italicized] Negro male child. It is
earnestly requested that the said woman will be taken up wherever she may be
found, and either lodge her in the Colony Jail or delivered to the undersigned,
who will pay a suitable reward for apprehending her.
