the following Persons having lived for upwards of Ten Years in a state of
Reputed Freedom, have, in consequence of the then Acting-Governor Colonel
Codd's Proclamation, of the 18th September, 1813, petitioned the Honourable the
Court of Policy of Demerary and Essequebo, for Regular Letters of Manumission,

the Colonial-Secretary's Office, between this date and next ensuing Ordinary
Session of the Court of Policy aforesaid, on the 31st instant.

Banns
of Matrimony - Between Howard Yearwood, Bachelor, born in Barbados, of the
Protestant Religion, being of age, on the one part; and Miss Elizabeth Jones,
born in this Colony, also of the Protestant Religion, a minor, assisted by and
with consent of her mother, Mrs. E. Jones, on the other part.
Any
person knowing any just cause, or impediment, why the above parties should not
be joined together in Holy Matrimony, must declare the same at the Colonial
Secretary's Office.
