Whereas
the following Persons have petitioned the Honourable Court of Policy of
Demerary and Essequebo, for Letters of Manumission for the afternamed Slaves: -
Betzy
Douglas, free coloured woman, for her daughter Sarah Maria Verhagen.
The
mulatto woman Catharine Luthers and four children - Maria, Wilhelmina Lumea,
Catharine Gertruida, and William Henry.
The
mulatto woman Sally Ann Jeffers and two children - Robert and Thomas.
George
Henry White, for the black woman Assiba, his property.
The
negro man Demerary, formerly the property of Susanna Hamilton, deceased, for
himself.
John
Wilson and other Executors of the late Alex. Fraser, deceased, for the negro
woman Margarthe, formerly belonging to Plantation Lusiguan.
Hugh
Stevenson and Wm. Niell, Executors of Wm. Niell, deceased, for the black woman
Elizabeth Niell and three children - Hannah, Jenny and Kate.
Nanny
Ward, free black woman, for her two children - Thomas and Louisa.
The
mluatto [sic] man William Webb, for himself, with the consent of his master,
Mr. P. W. Prins.
The
negro man Ben Ramsden, for himself, formerly the property of Samuel Ramsden,
deceased.
All
those who may have any right or title to said Slaves, &c. must give in the
same previous to the Ordinary Session of the Honourable Court of Policy
aforesaid, on the 31st instant.

Leach - on the 8th of June, at Plantation Zeelugt, Demerary, P. Middleburg
[sic] - on the 16th, at Plantation Nooytgedagt, G. M. De Haart - at Plantation
Galatea, John Lawson - on the 21st, in George-Town, A. D. Guthrie, supposed
drowned.
Free
Coloured. On the 6th of June, in Werk & Rust, Bob. Eliott - also W.
McNish. On the 16th, up the River, Rebecca Graham - in George-Town, - Kennedy.
