ROYAL GAZETTE.
Saturday,

Whereas the
following Persons have petitioned the Honourable the Court of Policy of
Demerary and Essequebo, for Letters of Manumission for the afternamed Slaves: -
Alex. Simpson,
for the mulatto woman Mary Campbell, and her two mustee children, Roderick and
James; and the mulatto woman Augusta Campbell.
George Rose, for
the mulatto woman Pamela and her mustee daughter Janet - formerly his property.
Black woman Mary
Ann Wishart, assisted by Mrs. Mary Wood, for herself.
Wm. Brereton,
for the mustee woman Mary Ann Davies.
All those who
may have any right or title to said slaves, &c. must give in the same
previous to the Ordinary Session of the Honourable Court of Policy aforesaid,
on the 30th instant.

Notice. - The
Partnership of Shute & Luyken is dissolved this day. All persons having
claims, are requested to render them as soon as possible, at the Store of the
first Undersigned.

For Sale - a
very valuable Family of Negroes, comprising two men and two women, and a young
mulatto child; one of the men is a very capable workman, either as framer,
house-carpenter, or wood cutter, and has some knowledge of punt-building; - the
other has been at the carpenter's business for some years. The women are, one
house-maid and seamstress, with the child, well adapted to attend on a lady or
children; the other, a very capable field-negro, and sold for no fault
whatever, but having an inclination of living in the country in preference to
town. Approved bills or cash will be taken in payment.
For hire - two
capable Shoemakers, masters of their trade; and all person are forbid hiring
any of the slaves belonging to the Undersigned, without first making
application to her, as after this notice, she will put the law in full force
against offenders.
Application to
be made to the Undersigned, on Lot No. 79, Cumingsburg, near St. George's
Church.

By Virtue of
Authority duly obtained, I, the undersigned First Marshal of the Hon'ble. Court
of Criminal and Civil Justice, for the United Colony of Demerary and Essequebo,
will expose for sale unto the highest bidder, in presence of the Hon'ble.
Counsellor-Commissaries, and their Secretary, at the Court-House, George-Town,
on the Seventh Day of November next: -
1st. In behalf
of N. W. Pollard, num. ux. Sarah Mansfield, last widow of H. Brush, deceased,
daughter of Wm. Mansfield and Sarah Culpeper, his wife - versus - Sarah
Culpeper, widow of the late Wm. Mansfield, late widow of J. Bradford, decd. -
Fifty Six Negroes, among whom are 26 men, 10 women, 11 boys and 9 girls; the
Undivided-Half of the Timber Land, called Lucky Spot, situated up Demerary
River, containing 2000 Acres, more or less; and the Unexpired Lease of Lot No.
24, and Part of Lot No. 25, with the Buildings thereon, situate in New-Town
District.
2dly. In behalf
of Charles Vincent, Colonial-Receiver - versus - Thos. Dunbrack - the Lot No.
30, with the Buildings thereon, situate in Kingston District, such as the same
is at present occupied by the said Thos. Dunbrack - Inventories whereof is now
laying at the Marshal's Office, for the inspection of those concerned.
Should any
person pretend to have any right, title, or claim, in the above-mentioned
Properties, and wishes to oppose the sale thereof, let such person or persons
address themselves to me, the said Deputy First Marshal, stating their reasons
of opposition in writing, when I will appoint such person or persons, a day of
hearing before the Honorable Court of Justice, for the trial of the same; and
those inclined to purchase, please attend the sale on the date and at the place
before-mentioned.

Barbados, of the Protestant Religion, on the one part; and Miss Agnes Dawson
Pollard, a Minor, born in Barbados, also of the Protestant Religion, with
consent and assisted by her mother, Mrs. E. G. Pollard, on the other part.
Any person
knowing any just cause or impediment, why the above parties should not be
joined together in Holy Matrimony, must declare the same at the Colonial
Secretary's Office.
