the Commissary Court of the 1st of April, 1816, will be passed the following
Transports and Mortgages: -
1.
By William Foderingham, transport of all his right, title, and interest, in
plantation Musquito Hall, situated on the west bank of Mahaica Creek - to N. C.
Griffith.
2.
By the Honourable Wm. Austin, q.q. the Estate of the late Rev. Hugh Wm.
Austin, transport of one hundred and eight negroes, the names thereof to be
seen at the Secretary's Office of this Colony - to Edward Austin.
3.
By Edward Austin, a first mortgage on the aforesaid one hundred and eight
negroes, in favour of the Estate of the Rev. Hugh Wm. Austin, dec.
4.
By the Hon. I. S. Masse, transport of the concession or lot No. 5, situated in
Charlestown district - to the four children of Betsey Bastiaanse, named Louise,
Antje, Nancy, and Lodewyk.
5.
By Henry Marsh, transport of the north half of the concession or lot No. 13,
situated in Kingston district, with all the buildings thereon - to Harriet
Hunter.
6.
By the Hon. P. C. Ouckama, a first mortgage on plantation Tarfis, situated on
the West Sea Coast of the river Essequebo, with all the buildings,
cultivations, and a number of one hundred and ten Negroes, the names thereof to
be seen at the Secretary's Office of this Colony - in favour of Messrs. Th.
Daniel and sons of Bristol.
7.
By C. C. De Witt for self and as Executor to the last will of N. Van Der
Schelde De Witt, transport of plantation Wittenburg situated on the East Coast
of the river Demerary, with all the buildings, cultivation, and Negroes thereto
belonging - to the Widow Van Der Haas.
8.
By the Attorney of the Widow Van Der Haas, a first mortgage on plantation Wittenberg,
situated as before with all the buildings, cultivation and negroes thereto
belonging - in favour of C. C. De Witt and the Heirs of N. Van Der Schelde De
Witt.
9.
By the Attorney of the Widow Van Der Haas, a second mortgage on plantation
Wittenberg, situated as before with all the buildings, cultivation and negroes
thereto belonging - in favour of Messrs. MacInroy, Parker and Co. of Glasgow,
in order to replace a collateral security passed in their favour on the 3d day
of February 1809, on a first mortgage executed the 14th of July 1807.

By Benjn. Teyssen, transport of plantation Good Hope, situated on the west
bank of Mahaica Creek, between Plantation Helena and Hand in 't Veld, with all
the buildings, cultivation, and a number of 52 negroes, the names thereof to be
seen at the Secretary's Office, of this Colony - to James Walcott.
11.
By James Walcott, a second mortgage on the aforesaid plantation Good Hope,
situated as before, with all the buildings, cultivation, and the aforesaid
number of 52 negroes - in favour of Benjn. Teyssen.
12.
By Benjn. Teyssen, transport of 3-4ths, more or less, of the Concession or Lot
No. 6, situated in Werk en Rust district, with all the buildings thereon - to
Elizabeth Knapp.
13.
By the Trustees of plantation Sophia, situated on the east coast of the river
Demerary, a renewal of a mortgage vested on said plantation Sophia - in favour
of Poelkok and Sons of Amsterdam.
14.
By the free coloured Catharine Simon, transport of the concession or lot No.
155, situated in Cumingsburg district - to the free coloured Frances Caroline
Moll.
15.
By Thomas Frankland, q.q. Fullerton, Oliverson and Co. transport of plantation
Glazer's lust, situated on the east coast of the river Demerary, with all the
buildings, cultivation and negroes belonging - to John Barnwell.
16.
By John Barnwell, a first mortgage on the aforesaid plantation Glazer's Lust,
situated as before, with all the buildings and cultivation and the negroes
thereto belonging - to the Widow C. E. Terrill.
17.
By John Barnwell, a second mortgage on the aforesaid plantation Glazer's Lust,
situated as before, with all the buildings, cultivation and negroes thereto
belonging - in favour of Messrs. Nath. Winter and Co. of London.
18.
By John Barnwell, a first mortgage on one hundred and twenty negroes, now
attached to plantation Bagatelle, situated on the west bank of Mahaica Creek,
the names thereof to be seen at the Secretary's Office of the Colony - in
favour of Messrs. Nath. Winter and Co. of London.
19.
By the Deliberating Executors of the Estate of G. Henschelius, dec. transport
of 2-5ths, more or less, of the concession or lot No. 56, situated in front of
plantation Vlissingen - to E. C. Allan.
20.
By John Austin, transport of the undivided one half of plantation Land of
Plenty, cum annexis, situated on the west sea coast of Essequebo, with one half
of three hundred and ninety-nine slaves, the names thereof to be seen at the
Secretary's Office of this Colony - to William Austin.
21.
By William Austin, a mortgage on the aforesaid undivided one half of
plantation Land of Plenty, cum annexis, situated as before - to John Austin.
22.
By Wm. Austin, transport of his moiety of fifty negroes, attached to
plantation Land of Plenty, the names thereof to be seen at the Secretary's
Office of this Colony - to John Austin.
23.
By William Langevin, Transport of the concessions or lots No. 214 and 215,
situated in Cumings [sic] district - to H. Fox.
24.
By H. Van Cooten, q.q. the Widow Van Der Haas, transport of the concession No.
10, situated in front of plantation Werk en Rust, with all the buildings
thereon - to Adrian Van Der Haas.
25.
By H. Van Cooten, q.q. the Widow Van Der Haas, transport of the half, more or
less, of the concession No. 4, situated in front of plantation Werk en Rust -
to the Widow Warnecke.
26.
By H. Van Cooten, q.q. the Widow Van Der Haas, transport of the half, more or
less, of the concession No. 6, situated in front of plantation Werk en Rust -
to Wm. Bowing.
27.
By the free coloured Frances Caroline Moll, transport of the north-west half
of the concession or lot No. 155, situated in Cumingsburg district, with all
the buildings thereon - to Hugh MacLeod.
28.
By the Hon. James Johnston, q.q. the Heirs of the late P. H. Koppiers,
transport of plantation New Hope, situated on the east bank of the river
Demerary, between the plantations Success and Friendship, with all the
buildings and cultivation thereon - to Anthony Osborn.
29.
By Anthony Osborn, a first mortgage on plantation New Hope, situated as
before, with all the buildings and cultivation, and a number of one hundred and
eighty-six negroes, the names thereof to be seen at the Secretary's Office of
this Colony - in favour of the Heirs of the late P. H. Koppiers.
30.
By Anthony Osborn, a first mortgage on a piece of land, situated on the west
bank of the river Demerary, next to plantation Vriesland, forming part of a
plantation formerly called Laurentia Catharina, containing 250 acres, more or
less - in favour of the Heirs of the late P. H. Koppiers.
31.
By J. Bischoff, transport of the half concession or lot No. 31, situated in
Werk en Rust district, with all the buildings thereon, to the free coloured B.

Vendues. [heading] . . .
On
Thursday the 18th of April, at the Vendue Office, by order of J. Schoemaker,
Esq. Administrator to the Estate of J. Verwayen, deceased - as authorised by
the Honble. Court of Civil Justice - offers for sale the Plantation Two Friends
(commonly called Hobbo) situated on the East Coast of the river Essequebo,
opposite Fort Island, with all the Buildings thereon, consisting of a
Dwelling-House, a Boiling-house, a water Mill, and Negro Houses, &c.
Also,
the Concession or Lot No. 19, and a part of No. 18, situated in Werk en Rust,
adjoining the Premises of J. Ceurvorst, Esq.; and ten valuable Field Negroes,
amongst them is a cooper, a complete master of his trade. Terms of payment for
the whole, 6, 9, and 12 months credit.
Also,
to close a consignment - a case large cotton hammocks.
