Arrivals. - Ship Richard, Noble, from
London; the brig Trim, Glasgow; Halifax Packet and Traveller, Boston; Rover
from St. John's New Brunswick; and sloop Blackbird, from Barbados, via Berbice.
Departures. - The cutter John Catto, for
Dominica; and schooner Friend, for Portland, U. S.
The letter-bag of the brig Jane, for
Liverpool, to sail on Saturday, is at the store of Murray and Jones.
PUBLIC VENDUES. [heading]
On Friday, the 11th of April, by order
of Mrs. Atkins, at her House, in Stabroek, previous to her departure for Europe
-
The said house, on one half lot No. 62,
with the out-buildings, &c. household furniture of every description, and
twelve negro men, ten of whom are carpenters, and have been long accustomed to
work on some of the best finished buildings in George-Town, and well known as
complete tradesmen; also, four women, and four children; who have been brought
up as domestics, and are valuable people. A credit of three months for the
furniture, and six and twelve months for the house and negroes, payable in cash
at the Vendue Office.
Also, an elegant light London-made
Curricle, just imported.
Also, by order of M. J. J. Van
Kruyningen - a negro man named Tom, a carpenter, at three and six months
credit.
Also, by order of A. Culpeper, Executor
to the estate of James Wheelwright, deceased - a young African woman, a good
house servant, washer, &c.
Also, by order of A. Culpeper - a young
girl, about 16 years of age, a house servant and lady's maid; at three months'
credit. The above negroes are sold for no fault.
February 18. Kingston & Mills.
On Saturday, the 12th of April, by order
of Mr. T. B. Kemp, on the premises, positively without reserve, being about to
quit the colony, -
The House and Lot of Land, No. 11,
pleasantly situated in Kingston, being a comfortable residence for a small
family; household furniture, consisting of a side-board, dining, breakfast, and
card tables, liquor case, sophas, chairs, a chest of drawers, night chair,
toilet glasses, bedsteads with mattrasses and pillows, a plated liquor stand,
decanters, tumblers, wine glasses, shade candlesticks, a globe-lamp, and some
handsome prints; also, a water vat, and a negro named John, an excellent baker
and porter. Terms will be made known on the day of sale.
