For Sale by the Subscriber, [heading]
A House, pleasantly situated on the
North Canal Dam, Stabroek, suitable for a small family, entirely new, and built
of good materials of the following dimensions: - 28 feet in length, by 18 feet
in width, one story and a half in height, with a French roof - standing on
pillars three feet from the ground; and the requisite Out-Buildings attached,
serving for negro houses and a kitchen. The above property is situated between
the houses of Mr. De Vrees and Mr. Boullier, looking exactly into the street in
which the Theatre is built. Also a well-disposed Carpenter Negro, sold for no
fault, the owner having no use for him. For particulars, enquire of
M. Jacobs.

PUBLIC VENDUES. [heading]
On Wednesday, the 21st of May, at the
Vendue Office, by order of Messrs. Chorley, Cook, & Kennan -
Five Negroes, named Ovid, a house-boy
and cook, Cumberwell, a cooper, David, Thompson, and Sancho - prime people.
Also, by order of Joseph Tayler - a
Negro girl named Princess, about 17 years of age, well calculated to attend
upon a lady, or take care of children. She is a very good seamstress, and
washer of small linen.
Also, by order of Miss Frances Melville,
a negro woman named Clementia, and child, a seamstress, washer and house
servant.
Also, 37 barrels and 1 half barrel
salted herrings, five boxes linen.
Also, by order of Henry Austin, q.q.
John Hall, at six and twelve months' credit - the sloop Blackbird, which has
been lately put in good repair; also, five sailor negroes, valuable people,
some of whom are good pilots for this river, having been constantly on board
said vessel for several years.
Also, by order of Rebecca Hope, the half
lot of land No. 22, with the buildings thereon, situated in front of Plantation
Vlissingen, adjoining the premises of John Brown, Esqr. at 6, 12, and 18
months' credit.
Also, by order of Stephen Cramer, Esqr.
q.q six negro men, prime shovelers, warranted good people, and sold for no
other fault but that their owner wants money.
Also, by order of Anthony Osborn and J.
R. Kenny, Esqrs. Executors to the late George O. Halloran - a horse, some
cattle, a negro man, furniture, and whatever else may appear on the day of
sale.
Also, by order of I. Van Koetsveld Du
Crocq, Executor to the last will of Miss Rebecca Webster, dec. - a negro woman,
named Kitty, and her child Maria, about four years of age; a cow, two gold
watches and chains, jewellery, silver soup ladle, table spoons and forks, tea
spoons, and several other articles; six plated candlesticks, two ditto pair of
snuffers and waiters, a large quantity of lady's apparel, two hammocks, three
trunks, and what further may appear on the day of sale.
Also, by order of M. Downie, Executor of
Wm. Morrison, dec. two negroes, named Allanby and Pompey; the former a good
carpenter.
Also, by order of Miss Mary Lusty - a
negro woman, Susey, and child, David.
Also, by order of Mr. J. H. Hendy -
Polly, a seamstress and house servant; Caesar, a handy, tractable boy,
accustomed to wait as butler; Rachael, and her infant child Frances; Jane, and
her child Wellington; Barbary, a girl of 14 years of of [sic] age. Also, 100
boxes of candles - at three months' credit.
Also, by order of Wm. Simpson - a box
stationery, 25 fathoms 5-8 chain cable, and four cambooses for colony craft,
eight kegs nails and brads, assorted axes and adzes, and what further may
appear.
Also, by order of Kenny, Preston, &
Co. to close a consignment - fashionable mahogany tables, chairs, side-boards,
and sofas.
Also, by order of H. B. Fraser, q.q. - a
family of negroes, consisting of a mother and four children; also two field
men; - all prime healthy people, and sold for no fault, but the immediate want
of money.
