Arrivals.
- An Army Brigantine, and the mail-boat Demerary Packet, from Barbados.
We
have been requested to announce that the trotting-match, intended for
to-morrow; is postponed, in consequence of the unsettled state of the weather.

VENDUES. [heading]
On
Friday, the 20th of June, at the Vendue Office, by order of the Executors of J.
D. French, deceased -
Three
Negroes, viz. two men, Tony and Sprightly, carpenters, and Helen, a good
washerwoman and seamstress.
Also,
by order of James Garland - a mulatto woman, a complete washer and dresser of
linen.
Also,
by order of Messrs. Nurse and Troughton - at 3, 6, and 9 months' credit - six
negroes; four men and two girls.
Also,
by order of Alex. Macrae, a healthy negro man samed Sam, a good cook, was
originally bought for the late firm of A. Macrae and Co. and is now sold as he
is not wanted for that concern.
Also,
by order of R. Metcalf, q.q. - a negro girl, Hester, about 11 years of age,
very clever at needle work, sold for no fault, her owner being in want of
money.
Also,
by order of Wm. Brummell and W. N. Firebrace, Esqrs. q.q. - a negro man named
William.
Also,
by order of Douglas, Gallaway, and Co. to close a consignment, six sofas with
Ottoman footstools.
Also,
by order of K. M. Macrae, for the late firm of A. Macrae & Co. - a negro
woman, named Reynette, a complete washer and dresser of linen.
Also,
by order of A. Cart, Esq. - a negro man, named Tally, a carpenter.
Also,
by order of Miss S. M'Vicar - the quarter of Lot No. 22, in Robb's-street, with
all the buildings thereon.
Also,
by order of Diana Williams - a negro woman, Matty, a good washer, house servant
and huckstress.
Also,
by order of V. A. Heyliger, Esq. q.q. - a negro named Hercules.
Also,
by order of J. D. King, at a credit of three months, a healthy African man - a
complete distiller of rum, a good field negro, and has likewise been employed
occasionally as a sugar boiler.
Also,
by order of Messrs. W. G. Reed and Charles Robertson - the Schooner Three
Friends, built at Mahaiconie, of the best materials, about two years old, fifty
four feet long, extreme breadth eighteen feet, forty six feet keel, six feet
six inches high in the hold, sixty six 28-94ths tons.
Also,
by order of C. D. Ridley - a negro man named Romeo, a good carpenter.
Also,
by order of Mr. P. Brie, q.q. a mulatto woman named Susan Thomas, and a field
negro named Richard, and four boxes of sheets.
Also,
by order of A. Macrae, a negro man named Tom, who has been some years at the
carpenter's business, and is a very capable boat negro.
Also,
by order of Walter Scott, Esqr. a negro man named London, who has been
accustomed to work in task gangs; and the negro woman Nancy, a good washer
woman, with her two children named Maria and Thomas.
Also,
by order of H. O. Seward, q.q. the following negroes, the owner having no use
for them, a complete washerwoman and ironer, named Jenny, she is also, an
excellent pastry woman, &c.; and her two children, one a girl 12 years old,
and can work at her needle, and the other a girl 10 years old.
Also,
a carpenter named Jack, capable of making pannel and jealouseed [sic] doors.
Also,
about 80 gallons warranted real Cognac brandy of the best quality, in
quantities of 5 and 10 gallons and upwards.
Also,
2 pipes real Cognac brandy, the same as the about [sic].
