The
Mail-Boat from Barbados, arrived yesterday morning. The London Papers are to
the 22d of May.
Public
Vendues.
On
Friday the 4th of July, at the Vendue Office by order of Abraham Reidon -
The
Quarter of the Concession or Lot of Land No. 4, and Half of the Water Lot No.
4, situate in Charles-Town district.
Also,
by order of Jane Macrae - a family of negroes, consisting of a man named
Quacko, an excellent carpenter; Mary, his wife, a good washerwoman, who had
formerly been accustomed to the field; a girl named Quasheba, about eight years
of age; a girl named Adjuba, about six years old; and a boy about seven months
old.
Also,
by order of Mary Macrae - a negro man named Fisher, a good carpenter.
Also,
by order of - Macrae, q.q. David Gold - all his right, title, and interest, in
the south-half of Lot No. 4, situated in Regent-Street, with the building at
present thereon.
Also,
the following negroes out of the Colony jail, at six wees' credit, according to
the Regulations of the Honourable Court of Policy, dated 17th November, 1804 -
Thomas, of Van den Broek, sent from Plantation Repentir, and Joseph, of H.
Williams, sent from Plantation New Osterbeck. Also, a horse.
Also,
by order of Fullarton & Macdonald, to close sundry consignments, without
reserve - an assortment of German linen, consisting of creas, casserilles,
dowlas, plain lawns, Silesias, stripes, checks, &c. Also, large size
cotton hammocks, 6-4 tweeled [sic] and plain bed sheeting, fine and coarse
Irish linen, platillas, Scotch, Hollands, fine linen cambric handkerchiefs,
pullicat handkerchiefs, fine and coarse jean, cotton and worsted socks,
flannels, Russia sheeting, porter per puncheon or by the dozen, &c.
Also,
by order of Nicholas Herbert, Espr [sic] a negro woman named Jenevieve,
accustomed to plantation work, and her two children, John and Theresine; sold
for no fault.
Also,
by order of Kenny, Preston, and Co. at six months' credit - a carpenter negro,
a young active house boy, a negro man accustomed to plain cooking and suited to
several employments, and a boy about 14 years old.
Also,
by order of E. S. Armstrong, a negro woman Sucky, an excellent house servant, a
washer, and dresser of linen.
Also,
a negro woman, Fanny, a house servant, and who has been accustomed to work in
the field.
Also,
by order of H. M. Robertson, to close sales, an elegant double dinner set of
fine earthen ware, including forty four enamelled border dishes; a few sets of
Brosely desert service, blue printed; three dinner sets, blue printed, and
patent shot in bags.
Also,
by order of A. Gainland, q.q. a negro boy named Charles, aged 15 years; and a
young negro girl - both healthy and strong, capable of any work.
