of MATRIMONY - between John Edye, Esqr. born in North Wales, bachelor, being of
age, of the Protestant Religion, on the one part - and Mrs. Elizabeth M'Donald,
last widow of the late R. D. Jeffers, born in Barbados, also of the Protestant
Religion, on the other part. The above parties intend to be married by
contract antinuptial.
Any
persons knowing just cause or impediment why the above parties should not be
joined together in Holy Matrimony, must declare the same at the Colonial
Secretary's Office.

MARSHAL's
OFFICE. - By Virtue of Authority received from His Honor the President of the
Honorable Court of Criminal and Civil Justice for the United Colony of Demerary
and Essequebo, bearing date the 9th of August instant, I, the undersigned
Deputy First Marshal of said Honourable Court, will expose for sale, unto the
highest bidder, in presence of the Hon. Commissaries, and their Secretary, at
the Court-House, in George-Town, on the Second day of September: -
In
behalf of John Strathie, as Attorney of E. M'Intosh of London, plaintiff;
versus Robert Murray, defendant - the Defendant's Unexpired Lease of the Half
Lot of Land, No. 27, situated in Bridge-Town District, in front of Plantation
Vlissingen, with the buildings thereon.
Whoever
shall conceive to have any right, title, or claim, on the above property, and
wishing to oppose the sale thereof, let such person or persons address
themselves to me, at the Marshal's Office, stating their reasons of opposition,
in writing, when I will appoint such person or persons, a day of hearing before
the Honourable Court of Justice, for the trial of the same, and those wishful
of purchasing, will attend the sale on the day, and at the place
above-described.
