of age, and of the Reformed Church, on the other part.
Any
person knowing just cause or impediment why the above parties should not be joined
together in Holy Matrimony, must declare the same at the Colonial Secretary's
Office.

by a negro woman, near the theatre, in the grass - an open Trunk, wherein was a
fiddle and some other articles. Whoever can prove property, may have the same,
on applying at this office.

Virtue of Authority received from His Honor the President of the Honorable
Court of Criminal and Civil Justice, for the United Colony of Demerary and
Essequebo, bearing date the 21st November, 1817, I, the undersigned Deputy
First Marshal of said Hon. Court, will expose for sale, unto the highest
Bidder, in presence of the Hon. Councellor Commissaries and their Secretary, at
the Court-House, in George-town, on the Second day of December, 1817,
1st.
- In behalf of Charles West, plaintiff, versus William Kol, defendant; the
defendant's negro man John.
2d.
- In behalf of Samuel D. Landry, plaintiff, versus John Sampson, free coloured
man, deceased, defendant; the negro man, Damon, declared liable and executable
by the Court's sentence of the 28th August, 1816.
Whoever
shall conceive to have any right, title, or claim on the above stated
properties, and wishing to oppose the sale thereof, are to address themselves
in writing to me, in due time, at the Marshal's Office of these Colonies,
stating their reasons of opposition, when I will appoint such opposer or
opposers, a day of hearing before the Hon. Court of Justice, for the trial of
the same; and those wishful of purchasing, will attend on the day, and at the
place of sale above described.
