At
the Commissary Court of the 5th of January, 1818, the following Transports and
Mortgages, will be passed: -
1.
By William Bishop, transport of one hundred roods facade, by the usual depth,
being part of plantation Breemen, adjoining plantation Perseverance, situated
on the west sea coast of the river Essequebo, with all its cultivation thereon,
and which one hundred roods will in future be called waste land - to Edward
Bishop.
2.
By the representatives of Samuel Phippen, transport of plantation Chateau
Truro, hereafter to be called Cheltenham, situated on Leguan Island, with all
the buildings and cultivation thereon - to Charles M'Garel.
3.
By Henry Strange, transport of the concession or lot No. 349, situated in
Werk en Rust district, with all the buildings thereon - to Colin Arrot, nom.
ux.
4.
By J. A. Cart, transport of the concession or lot No. 55, situated in Werk en
Rust district, with all the buildings thereon - to J. G. C. Leotard.
5.
By the Honorable Theophilus Williams, a second mortgage vested on plantation
Cane Garden, formerly called Saratoga, situated on Leguan island, with all the
buildings, cultivation, slaves, and further appurtenances, thereto belonging,
according to certain contract, dated the 15th of December, 1815, and with right
of first mortgage on an additional number of fifty slaves, names thereof to be
seen at the Secretary's Office of this Colony - in favour of the heirs of
Michael Staunton, deceased.

By Joseph Beete, q.q. the estate of Robert Ferrier, deceased, a mortgage on
plantation Vrees en Hoop, situated on the west sea coast of the river Demerary,
with all the buildings, cultivation, and a number of 280 negroes - in favour of
Messrs. Campbell, Harper, and Baillie, of London.

By A. Catanach, transport of a piece of land, being part of what was formerly
known as Pittman and Ashley's square, situated in Cumingsburg district,
adjoining the premises of J. Hadfield, being in depth forty-eight feet,
Rhinland's measure, from the back boundary towards the front, and in width
forty-two feet more or less from the present pailing [sic], to the draining
trench - to J. Hadfield.

By H. J. Van de Water, sworn clerk in the Secretary's office of this colony,
thereto duly authorised by appointment of His Honor the President of the
Honorable Court of Justice, on a petition of John Haywood, dated 9th December,
1817, specially to act for the estate of Alexander Macrae, deceased, for the
purpose herein-after mentioned, transport of the concessions or lots, Nos. 66
and 314, situated in Cumingsburg district - to John Haywood.

By idem, thereto duly authorised by appointment,as aforesaid, on a petition of
Alexander Fraser, q.q. Alexander Wishart, dated 15th December, 1817, transport
of the south one half of the concession or lot, No. 238, situate in Cumingsburg
district, with all the buildings thereon - to Catharine Bordon, free coloured
woman.
10.
By idem, thereto duly authorised by appointment, as aforesaid, on a petition
of Mary-Ann Bellamy, dated 13th December, 1817, specially to act for the estate
of George Campbell, deceased, for the purpose hereafter mentioned, transport of
the buildings, situate on the west half of the concession or lot, No. 37, in
New-town, front of plantation Vlissingen, together with the said George
Campbell's right and title in the land, during the present lease - to Mary-Ann
Bellamy.
11.
By J. Teschemaker, R.Z. and F. W. Tuckerman, agents of Messrs. Spoors and
Springer, of Middleburg, transport of plantation Taymouth Manor, being part of
plantation formerly called Kleyn Parys - to John Fraser.
12.
By John Fraser, a first mortgage on said plantation Taymouth Manor, with all
its cultivation, improvements, and slaves, as per inventory - in favour of
Messrs. Spoors and Springer, of Middleburg.
13.
By J. Teschemaker, R.Z. q.q. the estate of D. S. Schorer, deceased, transport
of planation Free and Easy, situated on the west bank of the river Demerary -
to the Honorable W. N. Firebrace.
14.
By the Honourable W. N. Firebrace, a first mortgage on said plantation Free
and Easy, with all its cultivation, improvements, and slaves, as per inventory
- in favour of the heirs of the late D. S. Schorer, of Middelburg.
15.
By F. W. Wiehe, nom. ux. a renewal of a first mortgage vested on plantation
Tusschen de Vrienden, situated on the west sea coast of the river Demerary,
agreeable to the Convention between His Britannic Majesty and the King of the
Netherlands - in favour of the estate of the late D. S. Schorer, of Middelburg.
16.
By Cato Grindly, free black man, transport of one-fourth of the concession or
lot No. 316, situate in Cumingsburg district, in favor of John Crossman.
17.
By J. Walcott, a mortgage on plantation Good Hope, situate on the west side of
Mahaica creek, with all its buildings, cultivation, and a number of 120
negroes, in favor of Messrs. Campbell, Harper, & Baillie of London.
18.
By the Honourable V. A. Heyliger, q.q. J. H. Faber, transport of the
concession or lot No. 52, situate in Werk en Rust district, with all the
buildings thereon, and of three negroes, named Jack, Esther, and her child
Sophia, to Charlotte Brown, free coloured woman, during her natural life, and
afterwards to her children, John Henry Faber and Charles August Faber, in
conformity to certain donation recorded in the Secretary's Office of this
Colony, in the book of records, No. 25, 2 part, page 27.

By M. Downie, executor to the last will of James Lyon, deceased, transport of
the north quarter of the concession or lot No. 62, situate in Werk en Rust
district, with all the buildings thereon, as it is at present railed in, to the
widow of H. Fasy.
20.
By J. H. Pollard, q.q. G. H. Bageley, transport of the half concession or lots
Nos. 272 and 273, in Cumingsburg district, with all the buildings thereon, to
W. N. Pollard.
21.
By the representatives of the estate of James Cuming, deceased, transport of
plantation Spring Hall, situate in Mahaica, with all its appurtenances, to E.
J. Henery.
22.
By E. J. Henery, transport of the above to Henry Hutson.
23.
By one of the Sworn Clerks in the Secretary's Office of this Colony, thereto
duly authorised by appointment of his Honor the President, on a petition of
Archibald M'Queen, q.q. Colin Macrae, dated 17th December, 1817, transport of
the island Aboneabonabbo, situate in the river Essequebo, to John Lowe, free
colored man.
24.
By John Lowe, a mortgage on the above island Aboneabonabba in future to be
called Liberty, with the saw-mill and other buildings, cultivation, and
improvements thereon, and on nine negroes, names thereof to be seen at the
Secretary's Office of this Colony, in favor of Joseph Hadfield.
