Van Cooten, Thomas. Born in Guernsey on the 1st January, 1870. Brother of 2154. Elizabeth College, 1878-86. Became a telegraphist in Guernsey on leaving College. Later took up farming in Canada. Mary Street House, Taunton, 1889-94. Emigrated to Ontario, Canada. Enlisted for the Great War as a driver in the Canadian Field Artillery. Killed in action in France on the 17th April, 1917.
