Van Cooten, died at Badagry on the 14th May, of fever, after a short illness. ... p lxxxix ... This mission has during the last year been strengthened by the return of the Rev. Messrs. H. Townsend and C. A. Gollmer, and by the addition of Mr. E. C. Van Cooten, from England, and of several Native Teachers from Sierra Leone. It has suffered the loss, however, by the death of one able and zealous Missionary, the Rev. J. C. Müller; and by the death of Mrs. Van Cooten, within a fortnight after her arrival at Badagry. | |
