Text | Successful Examination.—Mr. Henry Van Cooten, son of Mr. J. R. Van Cooten, Assistant Master at Elizabeth College, has just passed a successful examination in Engineering, and having obtained a Certificate, is rated 1st Class, and has been appointed to H.M.S. Cambrian. Mr. Van Cooten was apprenticed to Sir R. Armstrong & Co., at the Elswick Works, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. |
